Join us for the mechanical weeding in vineyards and orchards - research update and field demonstration event

The results of the project studying the efficacy of two mechanical weeders (Clemens) in comparison to a standard chemical herbicide treatment on weed control and vine performance, will be presented by Flora O'Brien (NIAB EMR) and Paul Tuteirihia (Clemens). Following this, visitors will move to the vineyard and plum demonstration orchard to see demonstrations of mechanical weeders and other new equipment available from Clemens.

Programme:

09:00            Registration and refreshments at the Thomas Neame Room, NIAB EMR

09:30            Presentation on the results of the IWM PRAISE project; Flora O'Brien (NIAB EMR) and Paul Tuteirihia (Clemens)

10:00            Clemens equipment demonstrations at the vineyard and plum demonstration orchard

12:00            Finish
